We would like to introduce ourselves to everyone, now that we finally have the courage to do so. We are Honey and Beauty, rightly named as we are sweet as honey and oh, so beautiful.  We are mother and daughter, ages 3 and 2 . Everyone says that we are a mix of Rhodesian Ridgeback and Labrador and we weigh about 50 lbs.  Our lives started out pretty rough as we lived in pretty shabby conditions in someone’s backyard. We were always having puppies that were taken away from us, but we remained, only to have more puppies. We couldn’t see anything of the outside world as there was a big fence that we were never allowed to go beyond. It was pretty uncomfortable in there too!  All kinds of bugs were living on us and our water was always hot and filled with dirt. Sometimes we were tied up to the fence and could hardly stretch out. A couple of very nice people came to the yard one day and we thought that  it was the usual situation, that they would come take our babies and we would never see them again. But this time, the people took both of us and our puppies too! They took us to a very nice shelter where all of the people are so loving and we can see the outside because the fences are see through!. When we first came here we were so petrified of people that we both squeezed into a little wooden house on top of each other and would peek out the small opening in the front. We didn’t let anyone get near us, we just stuck together for protection. But we have been here over a year now and we are warming up.We have learned to love our walks and if we know you, we will come up to you for belly rubs. We really do want to go  live with a family and want everyone to know that we are ready to go! We love to play fetch and love to be loved. .
