These two girls have a long story behind them. Brindi, the shepherd/terrier mix ran the streets for at least a year, having multiple litters of puppies. The owner just let her run loose. The Amer Bulldog, Rumba was owned by the same person but was confined 24/7 in a cage with the roof fallen in , with no shelter from rain and green water to drink.
Marilyn, a senior lady who rescues dogs from the street, did everything she could to trap Brindi, and get Rumba out of the cage.
There is a long history of negotiations, authorities, etc. that were pursued in an attempt to gain possession of these two girls. Finally, all we could do was pay a handsome ransom to the owner for their release.
So, that is the history, but now they are free. They are in paid boarding and seriously need to get out either by a rescue taking responsibility or a foster or adopter.
Rumba, the Am Bull, is just a love bug and gets along with other dogs. Brindi, who was once frightened and difficult to capture, is now loving attention. She and Rumba are truly best friends.
