Hi, my name is Sid. A year and a half ago I was surrendered with my brother, Nuzzle, to Hillsborough Animal Services.  When our daddy surrendered us, there was a nice lady there who saw us losing our home and it broke her heart. She started writing emails and calling all the people she knew to try to get us out of there. Lucky for us, our plight was shared all over and a wonderful man named Russ saw our situation and reached out to help us. He picked us up and brought us to boarding, assuming he would be able to find a home for us since I have been told that we are so delicious and loving boys.
We were both HW positive and Russ treated us both and brought us up to date on all of our vetting.
My brother Nuzzle, was adopted by a wonderful family 9 months ago. I was so happy for him, but so lonely and sad myself. I kept my spirits up; after all I heard the people at boarding say that I was a love bug and they were sure that my new home was right around the corner……….
It is now almost a year and a half that I was rescued from the shelter, but I am still here in my little kennel all alone. The owner of the boarding facility is very kind to me and takes me for 2 walks a day and when he has time, he plays with me.  But most of the time I am alone and lonely. I think about my old family a lot and I think about my brother Nuzzle too. I hope he is happy, but I just wish I could be happy also.

These are some things you might want to know about me.
I am about 7-8 years old.  I am a calm, loving and mature Lab/Chow mix. I am VERY intelligent! I am completely healthy and HW negative now and neutered(thanks to my guardian angel Russ)
I did get along with my brother Nuzzle, but I am a little older now and sometimes cranky, and would prefer to be the only loving pup in the family. I am a love bug and a real buddy. I love to lean up against  people and I am very attentive to them.
I will be a great companion for someone looking for a stable, calm and peaceful friend.
