Poor Luci
tortures me, thinking that she was rescued from the Everglades
back in November and she is still in a kennel waiting for a
home. . Please, Please network her. She is a doll and just needs
people to see her and know that she is waiting.

Luci B1127. Back in
October of 2011 .Miss  Luci  had a litter of puppies close to
Everglades National Park. She hid them away under a
deck(attached pix)  Mirta along with members of the 100+
Everglades group were able to trap Luci and her puppies.  They
were all vetted and the puppies were taken by 100+ members to
adopt out. Poor Luci was left behind and finally after
being boarded for over a month, a rescue organization
accepted Luci into their program. The organization
adopted Luci out and she was happy and sleeping in the bed
with the other dogs and cats. . Unfortunately after  two
months had passed,the family no longer wanted to keep Luci bc
she was cat aggressive.

Mirta immediately went to retrieve Luci, but had nowhere to
keep her. She drove around all day with Miss Luci in her car,
looking for a rescue or no-kill shelter who would be willing
to take her.  Mirta kept driving North until she reached
Jupiter. That is where she finally found a group willing to
save Luci. Safe Harbor Rescue and Sanctuary took Luci and
still have her. We are happy that Luci is safe but as
members of Mirta’s Chain of Love, we are not satisfied
until we see that Luci is in a warm and loving home, just like
her puppies all received.

Lucy is about 40 lbs and loves people and is good with other
dogs. She is a Shar Pei mix, but does not have the
stereotypical aloofness that a Shar Pei usually has. Instead,
she is affectionate and loving. She is about 2yo. We need to
complete this story with a happy ending. If you would like to
