Hi, my name is Roxie and I am the shelter’s favorite girl. I am very sweet, but shy until I get to know you. I think  all of the volunteers feel sorry for me because I have been here for 2 years and no one has come to see me.  Probably because I am not very photogenic, but in person I am really pretty and I really want to be loved in my own family. I get along with other dogs and probably cats also. I was living in the woods before I came here and the volunteers at the shelter picked me up just in time so that I could have my two babies inside the shelter rather than outside in the woods. My babies were adopted right away, isn’t that the way it always goes, people love puppies. But that was two years ago and no one has come to see me. At first, I was so frightened, I hid from everyone, but slowly over the time I have lived here, I have become more confident and I have more friends now. I am about 30 lbs and I love to go on my walks. I am very good on a leash too! I love belly rubs… if I know you. I know that ordinary black dogs have a very hard time being adopted, but hey, its what is on the inside that is important, right?
