Moussie, our darling little terrier that came in from the woods 5 years ago. He cowered in his kennel in response to any human interaction. He was just a bundle of nerves and never warmed up to anyone. We knew that if he could just get into a family, he would come out of his shell, but no one came along that could devote themselves to this little guy until this past month, when his guardian angel sprung him from his frightened little life. Moussie, after 5 years in the shelter and at age 12, was adopted into his first and only forever home! He is all groomed and such a handsome older gent. He is far from integrated into family life, but every day he becomes more comfortable and trusting. He now has two canine brothers  and lives on an upper floor apartment where he has a view of the Miami skyline. He goes for rides in a convertible and feels the ocean breeze through his hair and most of all he gets 24/7 love and affection from his new mommy. We all miss Moussie, but still boast big grins when we go by his kennel and see his double chairs just sitting there side by side……their vacancy a testament that miracles can happen.
